Commuting is becoming huge. There are more and more products for commuters. The bike companies are starting to realize its getting huge and are making products specifically for commuters.
The world commute website is a project by the people at Cateye, and if you've read any of my previous reviews, you'll know I really like Cateye as a company.
The site is basically this: you sign up and start logging your miles you ride each day. It's really pretty simple to use and its cool to see your miles add up. But that's not all the site does.
They have some really cool stats that come up based on the miles you ride- cool stuff like how much fuel you saved by riding, how much money you saved by not buying gas, your carbon offset, and health points.
It’s pretty cool to see how much money you saved in a month by riding your bikes. Granted, it's kind of an estimate, but think its pretty close and you get the basic idea.
I really do use this site. The only problem is remembering to log your miles. I'm the king of I'll do it tomorrow, and getting to far behind. I try to keep up with it and i'm doing ok.
If you are into knowing how much you ride, and how much sense it makes to ride, then give the site a try- hell its free!
What i'm wondering is if I log my pedicab miles does it calculate how much gas i'm saving and my passengers?
