i'm not really a sunglasses type of guy, but I am a clear lens glasses guy for winter, so when we got a pair of the new Smith spoilers, I was happy to see they had interchangeable lenses. Smith makes a really nice pair of glasses here. as most bike riders know, you need different lenses as you ride throughout the day and Smith has you covered. The glasses come with dark smoke lenses for those bright days, a pair of rose-colored lenses for the overcast, flat-light days, and of course a clear lens for night time or when ever you feel you need them. The changing process is really great I had glasses before where it felt like you were going to break the frames trying to change lenses, but Smith has fixed that with their interlock system. Basically you twist the arms and it opens the frames enough to remove and install the lenses. It’s a little scary the first time because it goes against everything you have been taught about glasses, but it gets easier as you go. One thing I really liked about Smith is the case the glasses came with- it’s a hard case that you zip shut. it has a space for all the extra lenses inside so they don’t get scratched and you can always have them with you. I like it because you can throw it in the bottom of your bag and not worry about your expensive glasses getting broke. I like these glasses because you can wear them and not look like a total bike nerd…well unless you have the clear lenses in!
