First, let me drop a little knowledge about Peace Coffee. Three things:
1. It's fair trade, meaning that they are in direct contact with the actual farmers who grew the beans, and they are paid a fair price for them.
2. It's organic. no pesticides, herbicides, no nothin'. just great beans.
3. It's also grown in the shade of larger trees, the way it was traditionally grown in Ethiopia.
I know i said three, but here's some more-
they offer bike delivery in the twin cities.
the bags they come in are quality, zip-lock style.
and the bottom line, it's seriously good coffee. and i'm not just saying that because i got a free bag or two. this stuff can go head to head with Starbucks, Beaners, or whoever else is out the trying to push "quality" beans.
I'm poor and receive food stamps. that's my only downfall. Peace Coffee isn't available at every store in town, nor every town for that matter, so finding a place that carries it and takes food stamps is a pain... good luck to me on that! However, check out their site- it's awesome and packed with a lot of great information, as well as where to find Peace Coffee in your area, and if it's not, and you are smart, you can plan ahead and order direct.
I'll admit i'm a coffee junkie. I'll drink the whole 12 cup pot to myself if i can. The two bags I received were the Sumatra organic Italian roast (my favorite), as well as the organic French roast. Two of the bolder beans. I can drink a whole pot, but it only takes a few sips to get you going! And that's the truth!
They also offer other products, from shirts to presses and more.
Thanks again to Mel and everyone else at Peace...

...and Derek got a few different blends, so hopefully he'll have something more to say soon!
