From all of the fixed bikes I've had the chance to ride, Traitor's Ringleader still takes the cake hands down- Limited PBR frame or not- It's the lightest, fastest fixed bike I've rode, hands down. The frame/fork weighs in at lbs., which is pretty damn light, while still being tough as nails....a 4130 Japanese Butted Chromo frame with a stiff, polished fork.
It's all the little details that make Traitor's bikes stand out. For instance, the unique braze-ons that make up the setpost clamp, or the braze-ons on the fork... just beautiful lines & curves!!! The fork is also tapped for a brake if desired. No brakes for the back on this one- not that you'd want it anyways!!! The rear dropouts are beautiful... they've got rad little designs stamped out on each side as well as their name stamped on each side. And there's plenty of room for adjustment there! Can't forget the dope looking cranks, with the Traitor logo engraved into them...so hot!!!
It's also the little details that it doesn't have that make this bike great- there's nothing to hold down a rear brake cable, nowhere to put a water bottle cage, or a rack (except for one of the seat post clamp kind if you REALLY need it!).
The Traitor built the Ringleader for fun and for speed...period. A job well accomplished!!!
Component wise, the Ringleader features an FSA Orbit X Headset. Traitor Poser Stem, Traitor Hooligan Bars, Traitor Scapepost Seatpost, Traitor Diamond Race Saddle, Traitor Journeyman Crankset 46 tooth, Wheels are Traitor Hooplas with Neco Sealed Alloy Bearings. Maxxis Refuse 25x700c Tires with Maxxis Superlight Tubes. Finished off with a Traitor 16 tooth cog and an 1/8th" KMC Chain.
And I can't forget to mention how much my backside is loving the leather saddle too- so comfy!
For more info and pics, visit their site... and like I've said before, these are way limited...125! Get it while it's hot- it's the first product Pabst has officially liscenced their name to- ever.
