Update 6.10.2009
This is probably one of my favorite things we have gotton to review. I live in this shirt- its perfect! Its warm in the winter, just warm enough in the spring, and if you're over dressed it wicks moisture. If you have an odd shape such as myself you know how great it feels when you get something that fits just right. This shirt is one of those.
Sometimes I worry about the day it wears out. Im definitely going to buy more for the cold weather this year!

Jones Wares sent me one of their mid-weight base layers to review.
The day it arrived I was getting ready to walk to the train station to go see my parents. I was on my way out the door and met the ups man- he gave me the package and I ran up stairs to open it, and throw it on under my hoodie and vest.
As soon as I put it on it felt like a hug from my mom when I was little and sick- it was sooo comfortable. Jones Wares was cool enough to make mine with extra long arms and a longer length body for me because of my super skinny long body type. I was totally surprised by this, but they said they do a lot of custom stuff. This is great for guys like me.
The base layer is 270 grams of 100% merino wool- the stuff I like! It wicks moisture, it breathes, you can sweat in it all day long and wont smell. and it also keeps you so nice and warm.
While pedicabbing in the cold this last week this was my base layer and it performed flawlessly. I’m going to have to buy a few more because in this cold weather it’s all I want to wear- whether i'm on my bike or just sitting around at home. Once again, you get what you pay for and this shirt is worth every penny.
As bonus Jones Wares sent me there helmet liner!

price $20
I always wonder about helmet liners and Jones Wares hooked me up. It’s really nice 100% merino wool, so it keeps your head dry and warm. The liner comes all the way down over your ears to keep them nice and warm and rides low on the forehead. I like it a lot, and I’m sure its going to come in handy all winter long…
p.s.- I’m wearing it in the Smith review!
