The Breezer Finesse has been sent back and now its time for a final look at this bike.

To me, this bike is a high-end commuter. This bike looks nice and rides even better.

There are few issues I have with it. One of the biggest is the rear rack. Breezer was smart and used the Cantilever brake bosses to mount the rack, (I mean why not- they're not being used because of the disk brakes.) But there are no strut supports, so I'm not sure on how much weight it would hold.

But the real problem is there is no place to hook your bottom strap of a pannier, so the pannier just bounces around when you hit bumps. It’s a really big problem in my eyes.

I'm also not sure how I feel about the carbon fork- it's really nice, it definitely makes a smooth ride, but with carbon there is always the durability issue. If I spend $1900 on a bike I want it to last for years unless it’s a racing bike.

Those are my only two issues and the fork is my own personal feeling- some people would say carbon is fine. There are way more good points to this bike than bad.

The internal hub has a great gearing range, and the wheel set is strong and light. The hub generator is smooth and powers the brightest head light and tail light ever.

The cranks are really nice and the hydraulic brakes stop it on a dime even in the rain. The geometry is forgiving and the seat is sporty, but still comfortable.

The Scwalbe Marathons stopped all flats while we had it.

I really like this bike and think it's totally worth the price tag.

Breezer is on the cutting edge and I look forward to see what they come up with in the future.
