Ok, $20.00 for a headlight is cheap, which is why I bought it; plus the guy at the bike shop said they're bright and works good. First of all it runs on AAA batteries, which is cool, they lasted for quite a while; the box said 30 hours but I'm not so sure of that. There are two modes: the first it just a bright beam, seriously bright. The second option is what I like to call "the epileptic fit" mode, it was a bright blinking mode that made me nervous. I'm worried that drivers would get so fixated on the light that they'd end up hitting something anyway. I don't have any pictures of it mounted on my bike thanks to the guy in the S.U.V. About a month ago I was riding home and this guy was following right behind me, he kept nudging me closer and closer to the side of the road. Finally he pushed me far enough over that I got stuck in a frozen tire track and ended up face first in a snow bank. Needless to say, the headlight mount didn't hold up. For the next few weeks I still tried to use the light but every time I hit a bump it would fall off the busted mount and hit the pavement. Eventually it broke. Looking back on it though, it was pretty durable. For $20.00 it was worth it just to keep that asshole from pulling out in front of you, and if he does still manage to hit you, you can sue because you had a proper headlight and he neglected to pay proper attention.
