I have been trying to find clothes that work good for commuters. I came up with the idea a while back when I rode downtown to meet my girlfriend for dinner and felt pretty out of place in a restaurant in a jersey and ¾ pants with tall socks on. I decided to write companies and see what they had. The first review is of the horny toad Claude. My first impression was just like the movie blood diamond. Great product but not such a great name. Horny toad seem odd, but hey- who am I to say? I helped my brother name his are 51 tattoo... Anyway back to review.
I like this hooded sweatshirt. I'm used to the average hooded sweatshirt, not something this nice. This hooded sweatshirt is deluxe. It lined with what looks like sheep’s wool- they call it Sherpa wool- I guess that makes sense. It also has lined pockets that keep your hands nice and warm and an inside pocket has a slit for your headphone cord. I tested the Claude this winter here in Chicago and its been a great test for how ridiculously cold it's been, but the Claude helped keep me warm. It fits well under a soft shell and really does make a good layer. The website kind of made me scared about the color but when it shoed up it was cool- the colors were not as contrasting as the website showed. If you looking for a warm hooded sweat shirt that you can wear out for dinner, then look no further.
