bagaboo is great! tamas (i think i spelled that correctly, but i'm not 100% positive) is cool and they make a great product. i placed an order for a XL messenger bag (for me) and l messenger bag (to raffle off). to be honest i was kinda scared of the xl bag because i'm a skinny dude and i thought it might be like having a parachute pack on my back. i ordered the large bag because we were going to raffle it off, but it was so cool that derek kept it. sorry about that, what can i say? bagaboo gives you every option under the sun so you can make the bag of your dreams. i chose an army green outside, light gray trim and light gray inside. soon after the order tamas emailed me saying he was out of the army green and was having a hard time getting more, so he told me that if i could wait a bit that he would make as soon as it came in. i'm not real picky, so i just changed the color to blue, that way he could make up our bags and move on to other orders. after the bags arrived we found out that tamas was cool enough to split the two bags up so they would clear customs faster. i've been using my bag for about a month so far. the XL is so big it almost had an echo, i swear. when it was empty you could yell in it and it would yell back. it will seriously hold pretty much whatever i need it to. i know the standard measuring system for messenger bags is beer, but i don't drink. there was one time when i had a bottle of wine in it though. anyway, i don't know how many beers it will hold, sorry. it has three pockets that are nice some pen holders; i got a ulock holder with mine. the strap system is pretty cool. between the multi-clips and carabiner-type clips you don't have to do the whole over the head thing, if that's not how you roll. the strap adjusts easy enough and has a good should pad. the stabilizer strap fits good and is also easy enough to adjust. i've had it out in the pouring rain and had zero leaks. while writing this i can't think of anything i don't like about the bag, not even small stuff. i think it's probably the last bag i'll ever need. buy one right now.
i'm the mooch that probably stole your bag right out from under you. sorry. it just looked bigger than the bag i was using at the time and i needed the space. bagaboo's large bag has plenty of space for all those beers that cole was talking about. so far i've gotten a few six packs and a couple bottles of wine in there simultaneously. it was tight, but it held it's ground. the thing gets pretty big when the straps are adjusted to their max. and while weighing it at a buck forty-five it shrinks down tight around me when it's fairly empty. i keep everything in there to change tires or fix flats, an extra long underwear shirt and hat, sharpies and junk, random paraphanalia and everything's stayed high and dry despite the fact that i've even been riding all winter long without a fender of any kind. - derek
