Alien Bikes is a pretty new company. They make quality stuff at reasonable price. The cranks I got are really nice. Alien bikes sent the cranks, a bottom bracket, and a chain. I was riding a set of Iro cranks that pulled of my mark v pro before I sold it. I know a lot of people love Iro, what's not to love? But I always thought the cranks were ugly. Do they work? Well yes, but just look really chunky. I thought the Alien Bikes were going to be the same but they're really not. They're really nice; they come in 1/8 inch and 46 tooth chain ring. You can get them in silver or black. I chose black because I thought they would look good and because Dennis at the fixed gear gallery already was doing a review of the silver ones. The cranks are pretty stiff- they seem to respond well when peddling hard. The bottom bracket is not the best. I'm riding it now and it seems smooth, but I'm not sure how long it's going to hold up...we shall see. For $90.00 you will have a hard time finding anything better. I'm going to ride these for as long as I can. I'll keep you updated- but if you only have $90.00 and want some cranks, click on the link above and get some nice cranks.
